Date Set for Make-A-Wish Fishing Tournament

The 2nd Annual Tri-Town Classic Fishing Tournament will be held on May 1st, with all proceeds benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida.

Area residents now have some extra time to participate in a fitness and weight-loss challenge. The $100,000 Get Fit Lee County Challenge that began in January will now run through the end of July.
The goal of the challenge is for local residents to lose 1 million pounds of body fat and gain 250,000 pounds of muscle. In addition to getting in shape, participants can earn cash prizes for each age bracket. In all, there are 55 prize categories in the challenge, which is open to anyone living in Lee County who is aged 18 or over.
